One flat price — or pay only when we act.
Autopilot Pro is $99/year (or $10/month), all-inclusive — we monitor your plates, contest every ticket by mail, pay a ruled-liable ticket before it doubles, and the app warns you before you’d get ticketed. Rather pay only when we step in? Safety Net is $0 to join and charges per action.
AUTOPILOT PRO
$99/year
or $10/month. All-inclusive — keep 100% of your contest savings.
Everything Autopilot does, plus the app that prevents tickets:
- We contest your tickets by mail — including expired-sticker and plate tickets. Unlimited, no win fee — keep 100% of what we save you
- Real-time car monitoring — the app warns you before red-light & speed cameras, expired meters, street cleaning, permit zones, and 2″ snow bans
- Renewal reminders + a direct renewal link — we remind you before your city sticker, license plate, and emissions-test deadlines and hand you a link straight to the official renewal page, so you never eat a $200 sticker ticket. Or let us auto-renew it for you (opt-in) — you pay only the government cost
- Evidence-gathering for your contests — the app captures parking GPS, photos, and meter receipts to strengthen your contest letters so you win more
- Automatic late-fee protection — if a ticket is ruled liable, we pay it before Chicago doubles the fine. On by default, nothing for you to do
- The Better-Off Guarantee — we refund your year if you finish with even one eligible Chicago non-camera ticket that's been doubled or hit boot enforcement*
*Guarantee excludes camera tickets.
SAFETY NET
$0 to join
No app, no subscription. Pay only when we save you money or handle a chore you forgot.
- We contest your tickets for you — including expired-sticker and plate tickets. We draft & mail the letters. Win → we keep 50% of what you save. Lose → you pay $0
- No doubled fines — if a ticket is ruled liable we pay it before late fees hit ($15 + the fine). On automatically once your card's on file — nothing to switch on
- Free boot & tow watch — we check the City boot list and tow database for your plate every day and ping you fast, at no cost
- Boot rescue when you need it — if you're headed for a boot, we pay the ticket before it doubles (from your own card, with your tap-to-consent), and the moment a boot appears we alert you with the fastest way to get it off
- Total flexibility — do it yourself first and we charge nothing
Why a card for a $0 plan?
We only charge it if we actually save you money (winning a contest) or step in to pay a fine/renewal so the City doesn’t hit you with late fees. If we don’t win, or you handle it yourself, your card is never charged.
No mobile app (that's Pro). Joining grants Autopilot the exclusive right to contest your tickets by mail— we draft & mail the letters; you can send us evidence to include.
Start free with Safety Net — $0Pro vs. Safety Net — what you get
Both tiers contest, pay, and renew for you — Safety Net charges only when we act, Pro folds it all into one flat price. Real-time camera & meter alerts and The Better-Off Guarantee are Pro-only.
When we charge you — every trigger, every timing
Trigger: we mailed a contest letter and the City dismissed or reduced the ticket. Timing: the day the ruling is recorded. Never charged if we didn’t mail it, if the ticket wasn’t reduced, or if you contested it yourself.
Trigger: the City ruled you liable and a balance is still owed. Timing: we wait 21 days after the determination so you have a real window to pay it yourself, then we pay it on day 21 — 4 days before the City’s day-25 late penalty would attach (MCC § 9-100-050). We notify you when the ruling hits and again on the day we pay. Pay it yourself in the meantime → we charge nothing.
Trigger: you opted in to auto-renewal and your sticker / plate is about 30 days from expiring. Timing: we charge when we file the renewal. Renew it yourself first → we charge nothing.
Trigger: we check the City boot list and tow database for your plate every day, at no charge, and alert you the moment your plate appears. If you're headed for a boot, stepping in means paying the ticket before it doubles (the $15 fee above), only with your consent. The watching itself is always free.
Contesting, drafting, mailing, boot & tow watch, paying a liable ticket before it doubles, and setting up a City payment plan are all included. On renewals you pay only the government cost — no service fee on top. Every per-event fee above is $0 for Pro.
Card processing: any charge above also passes through the standard card-processing fee our processor (Stripe) charges us — 2.9% + $0.30, at cost. For example, a $150 ticket we pay on your behalf comes to $154.65. This is the payment processor’s fee, not a service fee: for Pro, our per-event service fees are still $0.
You’ll always know before we charge you. Always.
21 days before we’d ever pay a liable ticket on your behalf, this email lands in your inbox. Pay it yourself in the meantime and we charge nothing.
This is the real email — illustrative ticket / date / amount. You also get a receipt the day we pay.

Your sticker & plate, renewed for you
Opt in and we keep your city sticker and plate current — Pro pays only the government cost; Safety Net adds a $25 service fee. Charged only when we file, about 30 days out, so it never lapses.
- Filed through the City Clerk & Illinois Secretary of State — a person confirms each one
- Need an emissions test first? We can't drive your car there — so we detect it, point you to a station, and nudge you until it's done, then file the renewal
Finish the year worse off? Full $99 back.
The deal: by year-end every non-camera ticket should be prevented, paid on time before it doubled, or contested and dismissed. End the year with even one of your tickets doubled past the 25-day window or at boot enforcement, and we refund your full $99 — just ask.
A contest we lose but then pay on time doesn't count against us — you're never worse off. (Safety Net is pay-per-use — no membership to refund, so the guarantee is Pro-only.) Camera tickets (red light / speed) excluded. Full details
